Mind is the leading mental health charity in England and Wales and works to create a better life for everyone with experience of mental distress. Mind produces information, publications and also has a network of 200 local associations throughout England & Wales. These offer a range of services including drop-in centres, counselling, befriending, advocacy, crisis helplines, supported housing, employment and training schemes.

Our team provides information on a range of topics including:

  • where to get help
  • medication and alternative treatments
  • advocacy

Our lines are open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays).

Legal Advice Line

We provide legal information and general advice on mental health related law covering:

  • mental health
  • mental capacity
  • community care
  • human rights and discrimination/equality related to mental health issues.
