Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust

Description

Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust (CWCT) is a local registered charity providing information, advice and support for unpaid carers - i.e. anyone caring for a family member or friend who has a disability or has additional needs including frailty, mental health, addiction or disability.

The charity is a network partner of the national Carers Trust charity. CWCT is based in Northwich but has outreach offices in Warrington, Crewe, Macclesfield and Chester.

Many services are available for carers of children, young people and adults. To register carers are advised to telephone the freephone carers helpline which is available Monday-Friday 10am-4pm. Once registered, carers will receive regular newsletters detailing services available to support them both from CWCT and other local organisations.

Services available include welfare benefits advice, support groups, training, breaks, emotional support, signposting to other organisations and information events.
