SEND Youth Forum for young people with additional needs


The SEND Youth Forum is a group that any child or young person with additional needs can attend from the age of 11. Children and young people have the opportunity to have their say and make positive changes about services that affect their lives. They are also able to make new friends, take part in fun activities and work closely with professionals.

Specific groups run in Macclesfield and Crewe on a monthly basis (see below for locations, times and dates).

The group is for any child or young person that has a Special Educational Need or Disability aged 11-25.

  • Via Adult Social Care

Eligibility criteria:
The child or young person must have a Special Educational Need and/or Disability.
Provides support to:
  • People with an autistic spectrum disorder
  • People with eating disorders
  • People with SEN/learning disabilities
  • People with mental health difficulties
  • People with sensory impairment
  • People with an acquired brain injury
  • LGBT+
  • Minority Groups
  • People with challenging behaviour
