AMPARO - anyone affected by suicide

Description

The service provides support to anyone who has been affected by suicide, including members of the deceased family, a partner, friends, work colleagues, or the ‘found by person’. This list is not exhaustive and is meant only as a guide.

The service provides:   

  • One to one support from an Amparo Liaison Worker
  • A full needs assessment
  • Information, emotional and practical support
  • Liaision with other agencies such as the Coroners Office and Police
  • Support at Inquest
  • Help with any media enquiries
  • Help overcoming isolation
  • Referrals and signposting to other statutory and voluntary services as required

The service is available for residents of Merseyside and Cheshire, but does not include Sefton. Referrals can be accepted for anyone who has been affected by a suicide from 1st April 2015 onwards

Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm
