Cheshire East - Community Safety

Cheshire East Council delivers a wide range of services that contribute directly to ensuring our communities keep people safe from crime and provide reassurance to reduce the fear of crime. To promote our communities being socially cohesive and tolerant, communities are resilient and able to support individuals to take responsibility for their well-being.

Community Safety has a statutory function within the Council for which The Safer Cheshire East Partnership (SCEP) is responsible and uses analytical data to assess the partnership's strategic priorities (3 year plan). The Council works closely with a range of partner agencies to develop, implement and monitor community safety strategies and plans and advise Elected members and other key Council Departments in their work.

The current priorities include

  • Anti Social Behaviour

  • Cyber Crime

  • Substance Misuse
