Who We Are and What We Do

Central Cheshire Buddy Scheme (CCBS) is a registered charity (charity no. 1160519). Established in 2004, CCBS supports children and young people with disabilities, their families and their siblings through activity clubs, holiday clubs and residential breaks. We run 7 activity groups, supporting over 150 disabled children each month. We have a 17 seater mini bus donated by the Morgan Foundation used for trips and activities.

There are many benefits to children and young people attending CCBS activities including:

  • Making friends
  • Having fun in a safe environment
  • Developing new skills such as cooking, gardening, socialising, playing with others
  • Improving existing skills such as communication and social skills
  • Increasing confidence and self-esteem
  • Visiting new places and doing things you have never done before

The benefits to parents and carers include:

  • Short respite break
  • Peace of mind knowing that your child or young person is with friends having fun
  • Peace of mind knowing that your child or young person is devleoping new skills, confidence and self-esteem
  • Peace of mind knowing that your child is in a safe, supportive environment
