The Moss Allotment Garden Project For Disabled People

The Moss Allotment Garden Project is a registered charity based in Macclesfield providing therapeutic horticultural activities on two community allotments for people referred to the project who have a mental health diagnosis, drug and alcohol dependency and physical disabilities. Allotment members are able to learn new skills in a group setting participating in positive, healthy and meaningful activities on their recovery journey. Training is delivered by a horticulturist and support linked to group member’s emotional needs is provided by a Senior Support Worker trained in mental health. This is a partnership arrangement with Cheshire East Council.
