The Old Saw Mill

The Old Saw Mill is a body of people and a facility, specifically formed to challenge social isolation in all its forms. It has sustainability and respect for the environment at its heart.

We provide good food and good company in our friendly and reasonably priced Cafe. There are opportunities for volunteers and paid staff to develop their skills. The Old Saw Mill is run on sustainable volunteer power and we recruit volunteers who have disabilities or learning difficulties.

Our aim is to enhance the lives of people who are socially isolated, lonely and in need of additional support. We have a meeting space for local groups and community organisation and hold various classes. Our classes enable people to come together and enjoy a hobby, meeting with those who have similar interests, leading to friends being made and lively discussions.

We also hold regular groups so people can meet others with the same challenges as themselves and feel less isolated. Meanwhile those coping with these illnesses can get stimulation by crafting or singing and simply having fun.

At The Old Saw Mill we collect apples to make high quality apple juice, cider and vinegar for sale locally. The profits are reinvested in the facility.

The Old Saw Mill operates as a Cheshire East Connected Communities Centre.
