Paediatric Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy


East Cheshire NHS Trust Paediatric Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Service provides a service for referred children from 0 - 16 years of age (19 if they attend a Special School). To be accepted they have to be registered to a GP within East Cheshire Trust footprint.

Assessment and treatment may take place within a childs home, nursery, mainstream or special school or within a clinic setting.

As part of the service we also have a Paediatric Orthotic service.

Additional Referral Information:
Referrals accepted from Health Visitors, GPs , Consultants, AHP. Preferred on Paediatric Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy referral form or a clinic letter. All referrals sent centrally to Community Therapy Centre where they are triaged and sent to Locality teams.
Waiting List:
All paediatric Physiotherapy referrals are seen within 18 weeks. We aim to assess all Paediatric Occupational Therapy referrals within 18 weeks. We have 1 locality team which is based at Pavilion House in Macclesfield
