Cheshire Dance

Cheshire Dance leads the artistic provision of dance across Cheshire and the sub-region. It aims to fully awaken the art form of dance by providing opportunities for participants of all ages and abilities to experience, learn and create dance.  Working in partnership, Cheshire Dance is committed to increasing access and transforming lives through dance.

Cheshire Dance’s creative values of diversity, authenticity, inquiry, awareness, ownership and flexibility are integral to this work which encourages each individual to explore their own dancing through sensory and creative tasks, ensuring all our work is inclusive and person-centred.

Our programme spans health and wellbeing, adult services, early intervention and youth inclusion projects amongst others. Regular dance classes that take place across the county include sessions for Young people, Disabled Adults, Older people and Intergenerational groups.

We engage specialist practitioners offering a variety of different dance styles including Creative, Contemporary, Improvisation, Dance to fitness, Brazilian Capoeira, African and more. Cheshire Dance also provides continuing professional development and training opportunities for artists to enrich their practice and for people working with dance in Schools and alternative settings such as care homes and day centres.
