Ruby's Fund - Sensory and Soft Play

Children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, along with their family, carers and friends, often have difficulty finding safe, accessible places to have fun and socialise.
The sensory room at Ruby's fund is a fantastic resource. It's a calming and non-threatening environment which has many features including a large bubble tube, ball pool, infinity tunnel, fibre optics, projector lighting, and interactive musical squares. Our sensory room provides an interactive environment to encourage children of mixed abilities to improve their mobility and stimulate their sensory development. For children within the autistic spectrum, it provides a controlled environment where stimulation can be reduced to a level that they find relaxing.
At Ruby's fund we offer a safe, stimulating environment, giving individuals and groups the chance to explore and develop in an inclusive setting, which is also ideal for therapy, relaxation, education and most importantly friendship and fun. The facilities at the centre also include social cafe, disabled toilet/changing bathroom, small soft play area, sensory garden (weather permitting). There are toys, books and a dressing up area.
We will provide a rich variety of learning experiences and leisure time for those with additional needs to ensure that they meet their full potential and uncover and encourage the gifts and talents present in everybody.
Our sensory room is available to book by the hour.
Please ring to see if the sensory room has been booked before visiting the centre to avoid disappointment.
